Aaron Ramsey to Juventus: According to reports in Italy, the midfielder has reached an agreement with Juventus.

Arsenal have had a shaky last few weeks. The side is five points behind Chelsea at fifth place, and the gap between them and Manchester United has reduced to only three points.

The side suffered a crushing 5-1 defeat to Liverpool at Anfield last weekend, and will aim to begin the new year on a high as they take on Fulham on January 1.

However, they face another blow as Aaron Ramsey, one of the mainstays at the club, has reportedly reached an agreement with Italian side Juventus for the transfer in summer.

The talks between Aaron Ramsey and Arsenal for a new contracted failed earlier this season, and the midfielder confirmed that he will likely be leaving the club at the end of the season.

Aaron Ramsey to Juventus:

According to Italian outlet Tuttosport, Aaron Ramsey has reached an agreement with Juventus for the transfer.

The report claims that Ramsey will sign a four-year deal with the club, with an initial salary of €6.5million, which will rise on the basis of his appearances for the side.

It is worth noting that Aaron Ramsey is free to negotiate with other clubs from January 1, as he is in his final year of contract at Arsenal.

The report from Italy also states that Juventus will not pay compensation to Arsenal, as Ramsey will be a free agent at the end of the season.

The deal is expected to be closed in the first week of January. Paris Saint Germain and Real Madrid were also eyeing a move for Ramsey, according to the report, but Juventus’ offer convinced the Welsh midfielder.

Aaron Ramsey signed a new contract with Arsenal in 2014. The Welsh midfielder confirmed last month that he would see out his contract at the club.

The Welsh footballer joined the club in 2010 from Cardiff City, and has made 352 appearances for the club so far, scoring 60 goals.

What next?

Arsenal will return to action on new year’s day as they take on Claudio Ranieri’s Fulham.
