AB de Villiers tweets about Virat Kohli’s six off Kesrick Williams with a ‘brothers’ tweet and fans absolutely love the comparison.
Virat Kohli and Kesrick Williams lit up the 3 match T20I series between India and West Indies. In an era bereft of rivalries, we now have one on our hands, every time these two nations square up to each other.
Kohli was hell bent on equalling the scores with Kesrick, who had dished out his notebook celebration when he dismissed Kohli in Jamaica.
The Indian captain gave him a taste of his own medicine in the 1st T20I, knocking him to all parts of the ground and making the notebook celebration a household thing in India.
The 2nd T20I though did not go according to plan for Kohli, with Kesrick getting scores even, as he dismissed Kohli for a rather paltry score. However, Kohli set things straight in the 3rd T20I, taking India to a humongous score of 240, thanks to a brilliant partnership with KL Rahul.
The ‘flick six’ is privy to Virat Kohli and does inspire a barrage of ‘oohs and aahs’, but this time round it was the man himself who was taken aback by the brilliance of his shot.
In the 18th over, Kohli flicked one over midwicket for a monstrous six and when cameras zoomed in on him, he was seen in awe of his own shot, something that we have quite often seen in the IPL with AB de Villiers.
A fan on twitter was quick to point out the similarity of Kohli’s reaction to that of ABD’s and twitter picked it up, so much so that even AB de Villiers ended up reacting on it.

AB de Villiers’ reply
‘Brothers’, he tweeted and that was enough to send social media in a frenzy.

Twitter then had a field day, reminiscing about the brilliance of Kohli and AB de Villiers together and how they could once again lead the charge for an IPL title this season.
