ALG vs NGA Dream11 Team Prediction : Algeria Vs Nigeria Semi-Final 2 AFCON Best Dream 11 Team

ALG vs NGA Dream11 Team: Heavily touted as the side to go the distance and win their third AFCON trophy, Nigeria look to get past a determined Algeria side today

Despite not being in the best of touches in the group stage matches, Nigeria have seen a massive up rise to their campaign in the Africa Cup Of Nations. After defeating current champions Cameroon in the round of 16, Nigeria made light work of South Africa as well to seal their berth in the semi-final of the tournament.

And by massively overturning their form, Nigeria also see themselves heavily touted as firm favourites for the coveted trophy, currently the most well-rounded of outfits out there in the middle. With all the major contenders dropping out over the course of the last two stages, Nigeria are the most experienced and successful side in the tournament at the moment and will be looking to add a third trophy to their kitty.

However, given the stunning nature of results in the 2019 edition of the tournament, Nigeria will be well aware that they can’t take Algeria lightly at all. After topping their group with three wins, Algeria went onto decimate Guinea in the round of 16 with a scoreline of 3-0 before eventually sending Ivory Coast packing as well.

In what was their toughest test that day, it was their goal-keeper who emerged as the hero for Algeria by keeping out a hoard of penalties sent down his way in the penalty shoot-out. With the sides not separated after the 90 minutes and extra-time, Algeria managed to hang onto a win by the barest of threads winning 2-1 in the penalty shoot-out.

Probable Winner

Algeria have been one of the biggest success of this edition of the tournament. Under the tutelage of Djamel Belmadi, the side are an extremely well drilled and organised side with the defence hardly wavering its shape despite the nature of their opposition.

Pairing this with an adequate flair and attacking strength in the front of the park, Algeria have massively impressed with their brand of football. And they are bound to be buoyed by their pristine journey this far and throw the kitchen sink and more at Nigeria.

In what should be a cracker of an encounter, we see Nigeria just about managing to come out of the skirmish with a win today. The side is on an uprise, one which should see them just about scamper to a win and make it all the way to the summit clash.

Goal-Keeper for ALG vs NGA Dream11

With a cleansheet a tough possibility given the nature of the encounter, we have opted for the man who is a better shot stopper. And with an incredible save percentage, its Rais Mbolhi who comes in, especially after his sublime display against Ivory Coast.

Defenders for ALG vs NGA Dream11

With Algeria have one of the best defensive unit in the tournament, it would be foolhardy of us not to indulge in their defenders. The backline has curtailed opposition defenders, stalling anything that has been crafted their way by the opposition and we are going to get in a duo from their side in the form of Aissa Mandi and Ramy Bensenbaini.

The two occupy a place right in the echelon of defensive pairings in the tournament, a pairing which has taken centrestage for the side to establish the framework of their success in the tournament. We also have a pick coming in from Nigeria in the form of Kenneth Omeruo given his affinity to find a place up the field in an attacking role. He’s going to be accompanied by Chidozie Awaziem.

Midfielders for ALG vs NGA Dream11

The most important facet for both the sides with a majority of their goals coming in this department, this segment is most heavily dominated for us. A barrage of players come in from either side and we’ll begin first with our reasoning for picking up players from Algeria.

It’s a trio which comes in from the side with Youcef Belaili, Sofiane Feghouli and Riyad Mahrez being our picks. The three have over the course of the tournament put in significant displays, making things difficult for opposition defenders who have found it tough to curb their attacking play.

The two man partnership from Nigeria is composed of Ahmed Musa and Moses Simon.

Strikers for ALG vs NGA Dream11

Odion Ighalo will be our only Striker for today AFCON Semi-final Two.

Captain And Vice-Captain

We have opted for Niang to be our captain for this one while Mane has been made our vice-captain.
