Ander Herrera is understood to leave Man Utd in the summer this year after the Daily Record has reported that the player has agreed a pre-contract with PSG.

Duncan Castles from the Daily Record has reported that Ander Herrera has agreed on a pre-contract with Paris Saint Germain. The Spanish midfielder will leave Old Trafford on a free transfer.

The speculations surrounding Herrera’s move to PSG grew stronger in the last few weeks, after the talks over his new contract were reported to have stalled.

The player, on multiple occasions, has stated that the contract isn’t in his mind, but it now seems like the midfielder could be on his way out of the Old Trafford.

Ander Herrera joined Manchester United in 2014.

Ander Herrera to leave Man Utd:

According to the Daily Record, Ander Herrera was unimpressed with Manchester United’s offers for a new contract.

The player agreed on a pre-contract with PSG after a failure in talks over a new contract. The French side has been in search for a midfielder ever since their fall-out with Adrien Rabiot earlier this season.

PSG came close to securing a move for Ajax’s Frenkie De Jong, but the midfielder chose Barcelona instead.

While Ander Herrera is not a like-for-like replacement, the midfielder’s work ethic seems to have impressed Thomas Tuchel and the PSG hierarchy.

The midfielder played in the first leg of the round-of-16 clash against PSG in February, but missed the second leg at Parc des Princes, as Manchester United secured a dramatic 3-1 comeback win to advance to the quarterfinals.

Ander Herrera signed for the Old Trafford outfit in 2014 after a move for the midfielder collapsed a year earlier. The player has since been a vital part of Manchester United’s midfield.

Ander Herrera is the only player to beat David De Gea to the club’s Player of the Year trophy since his arrival at Manchester United.

The club is yet to reach an agreement with De Gea over a new contract as well.
