Real Madrid’s huge victory over PSG last night was a massive statement of intent from the two time reigning champions, as they swatted away one of the favourites for the title this season.

One player who was not happy last night though was Gareth Bale. The Welshman has been a bit part player for Zidane’s team over the last 18 months, and was once again dropped for a massive match by the Frenchman.

Bale is reportedly fed up at Madrid, and will force a move away from the Bernabeu. The striker has had a mixed time at the club so far, with highs and lows in equal measure.

The Welshman was brilliant in his debut season, as he scored both in the Copa Del Ray and Champions League finals for Real.

After a relatively poor second year at the Spanish capital, Bale was once again pivotal in Madrid’s 2016 Champions League triumph, as he often carried the team on his shoulders.

But injuries have once again derailed his rise at Madrid, as Bale is now no longer an automatic choice for Zidane in big matches.

The rise of Asensio has seen his time severely restricted, as Bale now needs to fight off more popular Spanish players, along with his own fitness demons to find a place in the starting lineup.

With the likes of Manchester United, Chelsea and Tottenham still keen on Bale, the Welshman may finally decide to quit Madrid and return to the Premier League.

Real have indicated in the past that they would be willing to sell Bale for a similar fee to which they paid Tottenham, which is why a move for about 90 Million could very well be on the cards in the summer!
