Manchester United conceded a shocking lead in the game against Southampton when Valery scored a screamer in the first half.
However, Solskjaer’s men replied in a similar fashion in the second half as Andreas Pereira put an absolute stunner past Southampton’s keeper to equalize the scoreline.
United came right back into the game as soon as Diogo Dalot was substituted in for an injured Alexis Sanchez. The Portuguese youngster pulled the strings on the wing as he served a delicious cross to Marcus Rashford, only to be headed out just wide.
However, Manchester United led a series of attacks before Andreas Pereira went for glory from outside the box and gave the side an equalizer.
The Brazilian midfielder has had a largely torrid time this season at the club as he failed to impress in the limited opportunities he was given. However, Pereira stepped up against Liverpool after Ander Herrera and Nemanja Matic were ruled out due to injuries, and replicated a similar performance in the game against Southampton.

The side is currently 5th in the Premier League table and a win would take them above Arsenal to 4th. The Gunners dropped points in a dramatic North London derby, which ended in a 1-1 draw.

Manchester United are currently on 55 points, while Arsenal have scored 57. Liverpool remains at the top of the league, but that could change if City beat Bournemouth later today.
Manchester United will now take on Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League’s round-of-16 next week. The side is currently trailing 2-0 and will travel to Paris to overturn the deficit.
