Anthony Martial after game vs Bournemouth

Anthony Martial after game vs Bournemouth: The French forward was involved in a light conversation with former teammate Dimitar Berbatov.

Marcus Rashford made amends after a terrible mess in the second half to give United a victory in the injury time against Bournemouth.

Eddie Howe’s side started the game on a positive side and scored the first goal within the first 15 minutes, as Callum Wilson gave the home side the lead. However, Martial soon equalized for United, scoring his 5th goal in the last four Premier League games.

In the second half, Manchester United dominated the ball possession but failed to convert a number of chances. Marcus Rashford came painfully close to getting the winner soon after substituting on for Juan Mata, but shot straight at Nathan Ake.

However, the English youngster finally hit the target and beat Begovic with a Paul Pogba cross in injury time to seal three points for United.

Jose Mourinho’s side is now 7th in the league with 20 points, and will travel to Turin to face Juventus, before returning to the league for season’s first Manchester Derby.

The French forward reacted to the game against Bournemouth on social media. Martial has scored five goals in his last four Premier League games.

Manchester United’s official page on Instagram posted Anthony Martial’s stats in his last four Premier League games.

Dimitar Berbatov, the former Manchester United player who played two seasons at AS Monaco, replied, “Because he learned from the best when he was in Monaco!”

Anthony Martial came through the youth ranks at Monaco and made his debut for the senior side in the same season when Berbatov joined the French side. The duo spent two years at the club together.

While Martial left Monaco for Manchester United, Berbatov joined Greek club PAOK.

Martial seemed to agree with Berbatov, saying, “@berbo9 Ahah you’re not wrong.”

What next?

Manchester United will now travel to Turin where they take on the Italian champions Juventus, before returning to league for the first Manchester derby of the season, at the Etihad Stadium.
