Barcelona have confirmed that their new signing Antoine Griezmann will be unveiled at Nou Camp on Sunday, before training with his new teammates on Monday.
The French International completed the move to Nou Camp after settling the payment of 120 million euros at the La Liga office today. Atletico Madrid were adamant over the old release clause, which accounted to 200 million euros, but the transfer has gone through nonetheless.
This news came to fans euphoria, who were longing for a huge signing after the humiliation in the Champions League. The fans can witness their new signing wearing the famous red and blue for the first time on Sunday.
The former Atletico Madrid forward will take up a medical on Sunday afternoon, followed by the media duties in the night. The 28-year-old is due to arrive in Barcelona on Saturday, followed by the traditional pose next to the La Liga Champions crest at 21:00 CEST.
The World Cup winner will sign his first contract with Barcelona in the Camp Nou Sunol Presidential Box at 18:15, before completing a photo session at around 19:00. In an event which will take place behind the doors, his presentation will then take place at 19:30. He will not be taken to the pitch because the pitch is being relaid.
Antoine Griezmann will start training under Ernesto Valverde on Monday, ahead of the squad departure for Japan on Saturday. The Catalans will play two friendlies against Chelsea and Vissel Kobe as part of the Asian tour.
