Paul Pogba Instagram post: The Manchester United midfielder had a message for his fans on Instagram.

Manchester United secured an emphatic 5-1 win over Cardiff City in Solskjaer’s first game in charge of the club.

Rashford, Ander Herrera, Martial and Lingard were among the goalscorers as United scored 5 goals in a Premier League game for the first time since Sir Alex Ferguson’s farewell match over five years ago.

Paul Pogba registered three assists in the game last night, putting on a strong display to secure the win for United. The midfielder had been in controversies throughout the season for his fall-out in the relationship with former manager Jose Mourinho.

He, however, issued a statement on the Portuguese after the 5-1 win.

Paul Pogba Instagram post:

The French midfielder was involved in controversy earlier this week, when he posted a message across his social media channels, minutes after the club announced the departure of Jose Mourinho.

Pogba posted a picture of himself throwing a chuckle, writing, ‘Caption this.’ The tweet became viral, and it was construed as a dig at Jose Mourinho by a majority of fans and pundits.

Gary Neville lashed out at Paul Pogba, while journalists, including Piers Morgan, also criticsed the midfielder. Pogba deleted the tweet minutes later, however.

It was later clarified that the tweet was posted on behalf of the midfielder, as a brand commitment for Adidas.

“Pogba’s social media posts were a scheduled event, part of a marketing campaign,” a representative from Adidas stated.

“Immediately taken down once it became apparent that it could be misconstrued as disrespectful to Manchester United and José Mourinho”

Pogba has now posted the same picture after the 5-1 win over Cardiff City, with the caption, “Now caption this, big announcement later today.”
