Arsene Wenger’s time at the club looks to be heading to an abrupt end, as the Frenchman has come under immense scrutiny over the last few weeks.
Arsenal have lost their last four matches, and are on course to having their worst finish in the league table for over two decades.
Reports of player fall outs have been coming through, as many Wenger loyalists seem to have turned their back on the legendary manager. The players feel that Wenger is no longer the man to take them forward, a view that is shared by the entire football community.
Aaron Ramsey, who has been a huge supporter of Arsene Wenger over the years, has apparently had enough and voiced his opinion against the manager in a secret team meeting which took place last week.
Ramsey was then suspiciously left out of the squad for Arsenal’s last defeat away to Brighton, as rumours of the club selling the Welshman suddenly surfaced in the last few days.
At an Arsenal Fans Trust (AST) meeting held earlier this week, the 88% of Arsenal fans voted for Wenger to leave, a staggering amount that has been brought to notice to the Arsenal boardroom.
Arsenal CEO, Ivan Gazidis will now meet the fans during the weekend and discuss Wenger’s future.
“This poll of Arsenal fans shows the overwhelming view is that Arsene Wenger should leave the club this summer,” said AST spokesman Nigel Phillips, as revealed by Evening Standard.
“An early decision would both ensure that we are well prepared for next season and also mean that fans could use the final games of the season to give him the send-off he deserves,” added Phillips.
