Arsenal interested in signing Aleksandr Golovin
Aleksandr Golovin made headlines in Russia’s opening game against Saudi Arabia.
The Russian star is headlining the transfer speculations with his spectacular performance in the game against Saudi Arabia. Golovin was central to Russia’s 5-0 win, as he created three goals and scored a terrific free kick in a big win against the Asian nation. And now, he is wanted by the big clubs this summer.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the Russian international is wanted by Arsenal. Arsenal have already completed the signing of Stephan Lichtsteiner, and are set to boost their midfield options.
However, Arsenal faces tough competition for Golovin’s signature from fellow Premier League club and London-rivals Chelsea, as well as Serie A champions Juventus. The Italian club, reports say, is leading to sign the Russian.
Golovin, however, has stated that his focus is solely on the world cup at his home. “For now I want to focus on the World Cup and Russia. I am honoured and pleased by interest from Juventus, but I want to have a great World Cup,” he said.
The 22-year old central midfielder currently plays for CSKA Moscow. He impressed the club faithful last season, as he appeared in 43 games for CSKA in all competitions, scoring 7 goals.
Earlier, Unai Emery reportedly told Jack Wilshere that he won’t be the regular starter under his managerial time at Arsenal, which has led to many clubs fighting for his signature. According to Sky, Wilshere will be available in the transfer market this summer for free.
