Arsenal News: Arsene Wenger set for a sensational return to Arsenal. The Frenchman is the greatest manager in the club’s history.

It was Arsene Wenger’s arrival at North London that helped Arsenal break Manchester United’s stronghold in the Premier League. Under him, the Gunners went an entire season unbeaten and lifted the Golden trophy.

Unfortunately, near the end of his tenure at the club, the manager struggled to keep pace with Manchester United and Chelsea. The emergence of Manchester City and Tottenham didn’t help matters either. However, by the time he left, he had solidified his place in the heart of every Arsenal fan.

The former Arsenal manager is currently working as chief of global football development for FIFA. However, he could be set for a heroic homecoming at the Emirates in the coming future.

Arsene Wenger set for a sensational return to Arsenal

According to The Mirror, Arsenal want to bring Arsene Wenger back in some capacity, in a bid to garner support from the fans; many of whom have turned their backs on the club following an extremely poor season that has seen them fall out of the top 6 in February.

At the moment, it is uncertain what his role at the club would be. However, his presence, the club feels, would aid in unifying the support base. The report further adds that the club is currently in talks to build the club legend a statue as was promised to him when he left.

His statue will stand outside the Emirates alongside the likes of Dennis Bergkamp, Thierry Henry, Tony Adams and Herbert Chapman. Doing so, would certainly be worthy of a man who made the world notice the club.
