Arsenal have been in the market for a few marquee signings but also need to take care of a few ‘young signings’ in order to keep the future of the club secure.
And it seems like Unai Emery has delivered as Arsenal have secured a deal for 16 year old Barcelona sensation Joel Lopez according to Spanish journalist Gerard Romero.
Lopez has been part of Barcelona’s academy La Masia from the age of 7 but has now decided to move on in order to further develop his game. According to reports, he felt that ‘stagnancy’ had started to creep into his system, something that he just couldn’t afford at this stage of his career.
Gunners have been scouting the 16 year old for sometime now and with him not signing a deal with Barcelona, reports suggest that Arsenal are in fact his new destination.
“Cadet Joel Lopez, left-back, has communicated today to the FCB that GOES to the Arsenal. The two clubs agree to the exit with the player’s training rights” is what the journalist tweeted.

An official announcement is expected to happen anytime this week and Arsenal fans can rejoice that they have one of the best left-backs of the next generation in their side already.
The young lad will follow the path of Fabregas and Bellerin, both of whom also moved from Barcelona to North London.
