Arsenal top-4 chances: Unai Emery points out "2 things" which can secure top-4 finish

Arsenal top-4 chances: Unai Emery spoke about Arsenal’s top-4 chances and pointed out the two things which have improved his side.

Arsenal are currently at sixth position in the Premier League, albeit with a game’s advantage over Manchester United.

Solskjaer’s side overtook Arsenal with a 2-1 win over West Ham United last night. However, Arsenal have a chance to take the lead over Manchester United again on Monday night, as the side takes on Watford at Vicarage Road.

Arsenal’s away form has been a cause for concern, however. The side has scored only 19 points in 15 away league fixtures throughout the season.

Unai Emery is positive about the side’s chances for a top-4 finish, though. He listed out the two things he believed have improved at the club, stating that the side can secure Champions League qualification.

Unai Emery’s “two things”:

The Arsenal head coach believes that the side can finish in the top-4 despite facing a flurry of away games in the business end of the Premier League.

“I think we are showing we are competitive and have a good mentality,” Emery said. “Our mentality, we need to continue improving with a process.

“This team have a good mentality and they are improving, we are improving and the table is giving us this answer – we are improving.”

The Spaniard listed out two things which have improved at Arsenal, and which could provide them with a platform to finish in the top-4.

“We can see two things, one is the amazing response at home, big matches and big results and away we are doing sometimes good matches.

“We are playing some matches and being competitive but in other moments the opposition, they are being more competitive than us and they battle us but each match is a new challenge and response for us – starting Monday.”
