Arsenal Transfer News: Arsenal inquire about Argentine striker in a swap deal with Aubameyang

Arsenal Transfer News: Arsenal inquire about Argentine striker but will have to sacrifice Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in a swap deal.

Arsenal faced a humiliating campaign this season, after they finished fifth in the league and got a beating from city rivals Chelsea, which eventually failed them to qualify for the next edition of the Champions league.

Thus, the North London club is looking for reinforcements, and according to a report by the Express have inquired about Mauro Icardi’s services from Inter Milan.

Nerazzuris’ new manager Antonio Conte has already told that he does not view Icardi in his plans, which makes the Argentine striker available for the Gunners.

Since, Aubameyang is speculated to leave the Emirates stadium this summer. Arsenal can fetch money from his transfer and can invest in gaining Icardi’s services, as Manchester United and certain Chinese clubs have made massive offers for Aubameyang.

Manchester United are looking for a suitable replacement for Romelu Lukaku, who has been speculated to make a move away from the Old Trafford for Inter Milan.

Coming back, Inter Milan are not interested in money, rather they are also interested in the Gabonese International, and have responded Arsenal about a swap offer for Icardi with Aubameyang.

The 30-year-old striker has gained interest from several clubs, after he scored 22 goals in the Premier league to be declared as the joint top-scorer in the league alongside Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah.

Although, the possibility of Icardi landing to Arsenal looks slim, as the 26-year-old striker wants to play in a club, which can provide him Champions league nights, which Arsenal possibly cannot on the current basis.
