Arsenal Transfer News: Dani Ceballos' transfer moves inches closer after huge breakthrough

Dani Ceballos’ transfer to Arsenal moves an inch closer and will be announced in coming days.

Arsenal and Real Madrid have reached a loan agreement for the midfielder Dani Ceballos. The 22-year-old will sign for the club in the coming days, probably by next weekend.

The Spanish International has been in fringes since joining the Los Blancos and a temporary deal makes sense. He started just 17 games in all competitions last campaign, but he has been wanted by plenty of clubs including Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur, and AC Milan.

According to Goal, Dani Ceballos will become an Arsenal player if there’s no U-turn from both Arsenal and Real Madrid. Talks have been progressive over the last few days, and the Gunners are hoping to take advantage of that situation when these two sides meet in Washington in the International Champions Cup on Wednesday.

Similar to Arsenal, the Los Blancos are in the United States as they prepare to take on Bayern Munich on Sunday. The Spaniard has not travelled with the squad as he is currently on holidays, but is due to be back next week.

The Gunners are hoping that the deal can be concluded swiftly. The English side will pay loan fees and will cover his wages – believed to be in the region of £3 million a year. The Europa League runners-up will have a much-needed injection of creativity in the midfield after the departure of Aaron Ramsey.

Meanwhile, the Gunners are also working on a deal for Kieran Tierney. Celtic turned down a bid of £25 million because of the weird fee structure, rather than the fee which can be agreed. Arsenal have thrown a bid worth £18 million plus £7 million add-ons – coming as displeasure for the Scottish Champions.

If the fee is properly structured, Tierney will move to the Emirates Stadium as he is keen on a move to England.

Here’s how Twitter has reacted..

What’s next?

Should land Dani Ceballos, Kieran Tierney, and William Saliba before the conclusion of the transfer window, the Gunners will head into the next season with an abundance of confidence.
