The IPL is usually a platform that provides players of all ages to make a mark and show case their abilities to perform on a big stage.

While there have been many young payers who have taken the chance and showed the world why they should be playing at a higher level, there have also been several veteran players who have come back into the national team owing to their success in the IPL.
Yuvraj Singh was possibly hoping for a great showing this year, as he still hopes to have one last hurrah with the national team. But that has not happened as of yet, as the great left hander is once again having a poor IPL season.
Yuvraj was finally dropped from the playing XI and Manoj Tiwari replaced him in the game against Sunrises Hyderabad (SRH). KXIP was able to restrict SRH to a low total but couldn’t chase down the target. SRH bowlers did a brilliant job to clinch the match for their side.
In the press meeting when Ashwin was asked about the reason for dropping Yuvraj, he lost his cool and said: “What..What update? I have told clearly that he has been replaced by Manoj Tiwary.” Ashwin was clearly not happy with the reporters asking him about an update of Yuvraj Singh.
Ashwin was clearly not happy with more questions on Yuvraj, and will hope that this will end in due course of time.
KXIP will play their next game against Mumbai Indians (MI) on 4th May at the Holkar Stadium. It would be interesting to see if Yuvraj gets the place in playing XI.
