Bangladesh Probable Playing 11 for ICC Cricket World Cup

Bangladesh Probable Playing 11 for ICC Cricket World Cup: TSR present before you Bangladesh’s Playing 11 for their first match vs Australia.

India in the warm-up match followed up by South Africa in their tournament opener. The ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 schedule has handed out no breathing space to Bangladesh. Their entire mettle will be tested against South Africa with nothing but a team effort seeing them mount on a fortitude filled challenge in front of a word-class team.

If we’ve learnt anything from Bangladesh over the years, it’s been never to underestimate the unit. They are coming of a tri-nation series win that saw them peel past West Indies in the summit clash, a win that saw them fruitfully stamp their authority ahead of the upcoming World Cup.

The best thing for Bangladesh in recent times has been the seamless way their top-order has come to the forefront for them. Their Top 3 batsmen have been more than willing to take accountability on their shoulders and come up with consistent performances to embed a framework of consummate success for the side.

The major gaping hole before they step out in the land of the ICC ODI Cricket World Cup 2019 remains their pace department. It looks lacklustre, failing to pick up regular wickets or pile the pressure from both ends.

Top-order

By far the best area of Bangladesh’s unit, the country has over the past couple of months tasted all their success owing to the way the top 3 have come good for them. Tamim Iqbal is the one player who is a steady pick for the side with his recent scores including 80 and 57 against West Indies.

What the return of Shakib-Al-Hassan has done to the side is leave Bangladesh with a nagging problem to solve in the second opener spot.

Only one of Soumya Sarkar or Liton can be brought into the side and Bangladesh have recently looked to iron out that question by given both the players equal playing time. While both have been equally good, its Sarkar’s better form on the New Zealand pitches earlier this year that should see him being selected by Bangladesh.

Number 3 will see Shakib come out and bat. He faced an injury scare against West Indies recently but had has recovered ever since and will be a sure started in this spot.

Middle-order

Alongside the pace battery, the middle-order has been a massive cause of bemusement for Bangladesh as well. As was evident against India, once the top side fell, they left in their wake a shambolic collapse which saw Bangladesh lose 6 wickets in 47 runs.

The number 4 spot will see experienced wicket-keeper batsman Mushfiqur Rahmin coming into the role as a batsman who can be relied upon to bide his time out in the middle and show resolve and will. Mithun, Mahmudullah and Mosaddek Hossain and Sabbir Rahman will complete the batting team for them.

Bowlers

The pace battery is going to be handed over to Mashrafe Mortaza, perhaps the only bowler by far who has been able to unleash an onslaught on opposition batsmen to render them obsolete. What he has been missing massively though at the other end is someone who can give him the required company in tightening the screws and pile the pressure on opposition batters.

Their best bet still remain Saifuddin and Mehidy Hasan in the pace facet and expect them to at least in their opening match go with this tried and tested unit. The spin department is more assured, encapsulating Shakib-Al-Hassan and Mustafizur Rahman to come in and get the bowl to frisk around on the surface with their restrictive line and length.
