Barcelona and Real Madrid want to sign Emre Can
One of the hottest transfer rumour in January was Liverpool’s Emre Can already signing a contract with Serie A side Juventus. However, the rumours were dismissed following much media speculation.
Recent report suggests that Juventus are done with all the drama surrounding his transfer, and have given the German midfielder a 10-day ultimatum to decide on his future.
Can is entering his last few months on his Liverpool contract and is on verge of being a free agent in the summer. The deal seems a lucrative one for Juventus as they seem to desperately want to sign him.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the 24-year-old will give a definite answer on his future in the next ten days.
It is believed Max Allegri’s side have already tabled a five-year deal for the midfielder, worth around £4 million-a-year. However, Jurgen Klopp insists to keep his compatriot at the Kop for long. Although Liverpool have a backup in RB Leipzig’s Naby Kieta, the Red’s would not want to lose out on Can.
Emra Can is currently recovering from an injury and is expected to travel to Russia to defend his side’s World Cup campaign. Can is set to be starter in the playing XI for the defending World Cup champions.
Barcelona are very keen on the German, as the Catalans are extremely interested in signing the Liverpool player. But with Real Madrid also looking at Can, Barcelona know that they will need to make a move pretty quickly if they want to bring the midfielder to the Nou Camp.
