Barcelona transfer news: Catalan club offers €160 million and two players for Lionel Messi successor

Barcelona transfer news: Catalan club is ready to offer €160 million and two players in exchange for the services of Kylian Mbappe.

One of the biggest concerns for Barcelona presently is to fill the void after the departure of Lionel Messi from Barcelona, as the 31-year-old forward is in the last phase of his career.

The Catalan club’s arch rival Real Madrid have been struggling since the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo and the Blaugranas certainly do not want to face the same fate.

Thus, according to a report by Diario GOL, it has propelled them to offer PSG a massive deal in order to land Mbappe, who is deemed to be the next best player in the world as his exploits at the young age of 20 are mesmerizing.

Furthermore, the player recently also fueled his transfer speculations and might be ready to consider better prospects elsewhere.

On the other hand, Philippe Coutinho and Ivan Rakitic have been underwhelming for the Blaugranas in the last campaign and the club could offload them to bring younger players.

Moreover, PSG have also showed interests in the Brazilian international and considering the hefty amount being offered by Barcelona, the Qatari owned club might sell the player for financial gains and it would help them in solving their financial fair play concerns.

Additionally, Barcelona’s midfield is over-boarded, with the arrival of Frankie De Jong and promotion of Riqui Puig into the first team will eventually send Rakitic and Coutinho below in the pecking order. Thus, Ernesto Valverde needs to offload the liabilities in the squad.

Nevertheless, considering the stubbornness of PSG, while negotiating for their key players have been harmful for Barcelona in past. Thus, it is hard to predict the future course of action in this transfer dialogue.
