Who will be the next Man Utd manager?: According to reports from Sky, a new name has been added to shortlist.

Manchester United appointed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as the caretaker manager of the club after parting ways with Jose Mourinho last month.

The Norwegian had an impressive start to his tenure, and is yet to concede a draw or a loss in the five games under his charge. However, he has admitted on multiple occasions that the club is in process of appointing a permanent manager at the beginning of the new season.

The current Tottenham manager, Mauricio Pochettino has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United. However, it has been reported that the Old Trafford outfit acknowledges the fact that Pochettino signed a new contract with Spurs at the beginning of this season, and so, signing him would be a herculean task.

Manchester United have now reportedly added another name to the shortlist for the post.

Who will be the next Man Utd manager:

As the club is under the process of identifying the next Man Utd manager, there have been rumours circulating over the probable names.

While Zinedine Zidane was linked with a move throughout Jose Mourinho’s time in the current season, many suggest that Solskjaer could be offered the permanent role as well.

However, the Telegraph has now reported that Manchester United have come to terms with the fact that luring Pochettino from Spurs would be difficult.

And so, both Telegraph and Sky have claimed that the club has added Gareth Southgate to the list of shortlists for the permanent role.

Southgate led the England’s national team to the semifinal of the World Cup in Russia last summer, and also guided the side to Nations League semifinal, which will be contested in June this year.

Sky reports that Manchester United are yet to contact the FA over a possible move, but their sources indicate that the club is impressed with his work with young players and style of play.

Manchester United are yet to respond on the speculations, according to Sky.
