Barcelona are not considering the signature of Thiago, as their priorities are Arthur and De Jong.

Thiago Alcantara is reportedly in the transfer market and is heavily linked with a move back to FC Barcelona. However, Mundo Deportivo has reported that the midfielder is not in the plans for Barca, unless Bayern Munich agrees to let him join for free.

Earlier, Barcelona’s goalkeeper Marc Andre ter-Stegen said that he would like Thiago to return to the club. “I would like to have Thiago in Barca. His style of play suits us and from our point of view he has an interesting personality,” ter-Stegen said, as reported by Bild.

However, Mundo Deportivo has claimed that Barcelona will not pay for midfielder’s return.

MD also reports that the club has its priorities in place towards Dutch footballer Frenkie de Jong and Brazilian youngster Arthur Melo. Various reports claim that a deal for de Jong is in place.

Earlier, Bayern’s CEO Karl Heinz Rummenigge announced that fans should be prepared for some exits. However, he also stated that Thiago has not asked to leave, even if Bayern will be considering offers for the midfielder. Bayern’s persistence with expecting a good offer for Thiago may have led to Barcelona dropping interest for the midfielder.

Yesterday, Rummenigge stated that Bayern Munich will listen to offers for star defender Jerome Boateng.

“If a club comes to us and he says that he wants to join that club, then we will negotiate. But the offer has to be important,” Rumminegge told Bild.
