Cristiano Ronaldo departed Real Madrid in surprising circumstances when he completed a heavy priced move to Italian champions Juventus. Not only did the Whites lose their all-time top scorer and world’s best player.

They also had to say goodbye to a man who guaranteed approximately fifty goals every season since his arrival. To mention a statistic, he has scored 451 goals for Real Madrid across all competitions since his arrival from Manchester United in 2009.

Eden Hazard and Neymar are the two names who top Real Madrid’s list of Ronaldo’s replacements. Neymar and Real Madrid have both denied the fact that a move could be made be made this summer while Eden Hazard could arrive.

Apart from Hazard, Real will be looking for a goal scoring striker. Their requirements are met by Argentina’s Mauro Icardi. The Inter Milan talisman was on the club’s radar since the winter but negotiations weren’t fruitful.

Having scored 24 goals in 29 games in the Serie A, Inter seem to have conceded to the fact that they will lose their star name. As a matter of fact, they’re already searching for replacements for him.

Icardi’s signing could prove to be the beginning of something new at Real Madrid. A poacher and one of the game’s most budding in the penalty box, the Argentine has what it takes to promise a handful of goals for the Spanish giants. He will be added to provide competition to Karim Benzema for the striker’s spot apart from just chipping in with goals.

Also, Icardi will be itching to prove himself once again after being snubbed from the Argentina World Cup squad.

Can Icardi be a Real Madrid galactico?
