Borussia Dortmund are said to be considering the idea of bringing back Armenian playmaker Henrikh Mkhitaryan to Signal Iduna Park, with the midfielder out of favour at the moment at Manchester United.
According to Daily Star, the German club are ready to jump at the chance of re-signing the Armenian as they look to strengthen their squad in light of their recent struggles on the field.
It is believed that United is ready to offload the 28 year old if at all they make a move for Arsenal’s Mesut Ozil .

After making an excellent start to the season with 5 assists and a goal in the first four games, Mkhitaryan’s form has nosedived remarkably.
The Armenian hasn’t started for the Reds since Nov 5th and made just one substitute appearance in United’s last five fixtures, after United boss Jose Mourinho accused him of ‘disappearing’ during games, notably against Tottenham and Chelsea.
Dortmund are now sitting sixth in the table 10 points behind leaders Bayern Munich and recently were subjected to heavy criticism after throwing away a four goal lead against bitter rivals Shalke.
They will be looking to strengthen their squad and are ready to offer the Armenian captain an escape route from Old Trafford.
This situation is eerily familiar to that of the previous playmaker who switched Dortmund to Manchester United, Shinji Kagawa. After a couple of underwhelming seasons at Old Trafford, Kagawa eventually went back to Dortmund in a bid to rescue his career.
Unfortunately for Mkhi, it looks like he may have to do the same!
