Brighton Vs Manchester City: Twitter reactions on Man City winning Premier league title 2018/19 as Liverpool miss out despite 97 points

Manchester City have realistically won the title after securing a 4-1 win against Brighton on the final day of the Premier League.

Pep Guardiola’s team was in a fierce contest with Liverpool as the Merseyside club was only one-point behind the Citizens.

The Reds needed Brighton to prevent Manchester City’s win and further required to defeat Wolves, inorder to win the Premier league title.

On the hand, Manchester City only had to secure three-points to conquer the league once again. Therefore, setting an ideal climax for the Premier league season.

Earlier, Manchester City was trailing after conceding to Brighton, on the other hand, Liverpool climbed on the table after Sadio Mane’s early strike against the Wolves.

However, a minute later after conceding to Brighton, Sergio Aguero’s strike brought Manchester City back into the game. Further, goals by Aymeric Laporte, Riyad Mahrez and Ilkay Gundogan respectively sealed the title victory for the Citizens.

Later,in the 87th minute, club captain was subbed off for Nicolas Otamendi, thus giving a probable farewell with a title for the club legend.

On the other hand, Liverpool did whatever they could to possibly win the title. However, a minor lead of one-point on table made Manchester City the champions.

Thus, it would be bitter for the club to lose the title even after securing 97 points this season.
