Tottenham Hotspur’s Hugo Lloris committed a mistake in the early moments of the game and got substituted owing to a bad hand injury.
Tottenham Hotspur were hoping to put off their Champions League misery as they took on Brighton and Hove Albion in Amex Stadium. The visitors, who conceded seven in the midweek got off to a worst possible start.
Pascal Gross, through the left flank, faked a shot and had much more time to find a Brighton player inside the penalty box. The midfielder’s cross was not perfect, but still aided a goal as Spurs captain Hugo Lloris made a total mess out of it.
The Frenchman, instead of tipping over the crossbar, decided to catch it. When the ball appeared to move, the goalkeeper struggled and tried to push it out of the dangerous territory. However, the ball fell kindly for the striker Neal Maupay to head the ball from close range.
He totally misread it.

When the celebrations were wild inside the Amex Stadium, Hugo Lloris was clutching his arms inside the net. He looked to have used his left arm to balance when going down. Since his whole body balance was rested on his left arm, he wasn’t able to move it.
After nearly four minutes of treatment, Lloris was stretched off by Spurs doctor who indicated that the captain wouldn’t be able to continue anymore.

Spurs are trying their best but they are not able to get back into the game. Brighton, on the other hand, are enjoying good amount of possession to cause trouble inside their opponent’s box.
