Bruno Fernandes: Man Utd make decision over €70 million midfield sensation

Manchester United not met discussed terms with Bruno Fernandes contrary to other reports.

Manchester United have not agreed a deal with Sporting CP nor have they met the player to discuss the personal terms. The Red Devils have been admirers of the Portuguese International, but they are in the not frame for his signature currently.

Contrary to the reports stating about the personal terms agreement, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has not made a step to pursue him in the summer window. Reliable James Ducker confirmed that both the clubs are not going to sit down for a probable deal after disgruntled initial talks.

Ever since the preliminary contact, there have not been talks between the clubs over a deal for Bruno Fernandes. It will come as a huge piece of disappointing news for the Red Devils faithful, who were hoping for a top-class midfielder following the departure of Ander Herrera.

In order to fill the shoes of the Spanish International, the Norwegian is in the hunt for a midfielder in the transfer market, but any deal for Bruno Fernandes is not likely to materialize in the near future.

The 24-year-old is one of the hottest prospects in Europe following a breakthrough season with Sporting CP. The Portuguese International has 50 goal contributions – scoring 32 and assisting further 18 in 53 games last campaign.

Those figures have enticed the rest of Europe including Manchester United. Liverpool, Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspur, and Inter Milan are linked with a move for the midfielder, but it remains to be seen as the midfielder is currently on holidays.

Reliable sources have ruled out a move from Manchester City, whereas, Spurs have currently landed Tanguy Ndombele. The likelihood of seeing him at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is less. Inter Milan are struggling financially. Liverpool is the other club linked, but they are already stacked up in the midfield department.

Here’s how Twitter has reacted..

What’s next?

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has already prioritized two positions after the arrival of Daniel James and Aaron Wan-Bissaka. He reportedly wants a centre-back and central midfielder to strengthen the squad.
