Bumrah yorker: The Indian fast bowler was extremely unfortunate to not dismiss the English vice-captain at the Chepauk.

During the second day of the first Test of the ongoing England’s tour of India in Chennai, India fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah bowled an absolute jaffa to England vice-captain Ben Stokes.
Bowling from around the stumps to the left-hand batsman in the 92nd over, Bumrah’s pinpoint yorker went with the angle into Stokes. Despite trying his best to bring the bat down on time, Stokes barely managed to prevent the ball from hitting the stumps.
On any other day, Bumrah would have added to his tally of Test wickets with such a delivery but was extremely unfortunate to not dismiss Stokes on this particular occasion as fortune favoured the batsman today.
Stokes, who came out to bat at No. 5 to accompany captain Joe Root this morning, scored a brisk 23rd Test half-century to further strengthen his team’s position at the MA Chidambaram Stadium.
India, who have been constantly erring on the field since the tour of Australia, gave a couple of chances to Stokes. While spinner Ravichandran Ashwin dropped Stokes off his own bowling, Cheteshwar Pujara put him down at mid-wicket off Shahbaz Nadeem.
Root, who crossed the 150-run mark while playing second fiddle to Stokes, continued to remain unperturbed by all changes made by the Indian team in the first session. The two senior English batsmen have added close to 100 runs for the fourth wicket now.

Right on cue. Please inject Stokes somehow surviving a stonking Bumrah yorker directly into my veins. #INDvENG
