It’s this enticing proposition that is set to raise the standards of cricket when the two countries who share borders meet each other in the third T20 on Sunday, Indian time. The momentous occasion sees Canada just going in to have one shot at a win after having being defeated easily by USA to lose the series 2-0 and give up on their biggest chance of reaching a tournament of international repute in 4 years.
While Canada were bowled out for 66 in the first match, one that USA won by 10 wickets, they followed it up with just 76 in the second. Left baffled and rattled, the side lost by 37 runs as they chased USA’s 117-6.
CAN-W vs USA-W Dream 11 Prediction
Both the sides are new entrants into the cricketing fraternity and with their players an unknown entity, picking out a Dream 11 side for the match made for tantalising viewing. However, we’ve kept the results from the opening match in mind and picked our played accordingly to bring forward to you the most well rounded and complete team for Dream 11.
Wicket-Keeper for CAN-W vs USA-W Dream 11
It’s going to be the wicket-keeper from USA and their captain Sindhu Sriharsha who is going to find herself occupy this role for us. She was boisterous when speaking out her side sparing no expense in making it through to the next round and emerging as the winners from this series and she took the onus on herself to deliver an incisive performance in the opening match. Also being the top scorer for her side in the second T20 with 38 well made runs, there is no doubt on picking her.
Sindhu: “We’d be ecstatic if we qualified for the next phase. We have all worked hard for a few years now and we totally deserve the win.
“Our goal is to qualify for the World Cup. By qualifying from the Americas, we would have checked off the first step towards it. As a team, we have unity in diversity, we come from different cultures and countries.”
Batters for CAN-W vs USA-W Dream 11
The opening match was an extremely low scoring encounter with Canada putting on an agonising show filled with lapses. We hardly expect anything better from them in the third match after they followed up the same lapses filled performance in the second and with an underwhelming showing in mind yet again, we’ve picked Achini Perera, one of the rare players to even get into double figures. Azmat is also picked given the fact that she gets a go in the bowling front as well.
We don’t see too many runs being scored in this match and we will complete out with 4 batters. USA still put on something good with the bat in the earlier encounter and we will keep Onika Wallerson and Lisa Ramjit in our side. Lisa is someone who bowled out 4 overs for just 5 runs and the 2 wickets in them and her being classified as a batter in the game is something we are going to take full advantage of.
All-Rounders for CAN-W vs USA-W Dream 11
We begin with the side in colossal need of a win after a calamitous performance and its Mahwish Khan who finds a place in this role in our side. We are trying to limit ourselves to the least number of players from Canada given how poor they were and that will complete their picks for this round. She got
USA put on a perfect pefromance in their first ever T20 the last time around and we fully see them repeating that yet again. The two picks from their side take precedence over Canada with Erica Rendler and Sugetha Kalyanaraman coming into our Dream 11 team. Rendler had score 47 runs in 35 balls to see her side win in 10 overs with all their wickets kept intact.
Bowlers for CAN-W vs USA-W Dream 11
It was the bowling unit of USA that had seen Canada fizzle out for just 66 and 76 runs to give USA a 2-0 lead and with that see them through to the ensuing stage of the women’s qualifier. Claudine Bekerford for two wickets with Uzma Iftikhar getting 4 to leave Canada completely out of the game and it’s this duo who is going to be selected yet again by us.
It’s the single pick from Canada in this department as well with just Kamna Mirchandani coming in from the side who we see losing 3-0 when the third match comes to an end.

Lisa Ramjit will captain the side with Iftikhar being our vice-captain for this.
