Cardiff Vs Liverpool Lineups: Here is how the Reds could line up against Cardiff at Cardiff City Stadium on Sunday.
Liverpool will travel to Wales to take on Cardiff City at Cardiff City Stadium on Sunday. The Reds, who were rampant in front of the goal against FC Porto in the Champions League, thereby winning the tie 6-1 will shift their focus to the Premier League title race. It is an entirely different scenario for Cardiff City who are grappling to stay in the English top division.

Fast forward after the draw against Everton in early March, Jurgen Klopp’s side have won eight games on a bounce in all competitions. On the other hand, Cardiff have always been on the receiving end, losing three out of their last five encounters in the league.
Both the sides are desperate for three points for two different reasons. Despite having incredible individual and team quality, Liverpool find it tough against the side which is currently facing uncertainty over their Premier League future with four games to play. Niel Warnock has an abysmal record against Liverpool and he would have a hankering for three points on Sunday.
We bring you the team news and predicted lineup before this huge clash.

Jurgen Klopp does not have any fitness concerns going into this fixture. Joe Gomez, who came on as a substitute against FC Porto in the Champions League is expected to be named on the bench alongside Dejan Lovren. The Croatian International did not fly to Portugal because of illness, but the Liverpool manager expects him to feature in the squad.
When he was asked about Joe Gomez and Dejan Lovren, Jurgen Klopp said: “Joe Gomez looked good and it’s very important to have him back. Dejan was ill but he should be available again. Everyone else should be okay.”

Speaking about the importance of this game, the German International reiterated that they expect a firm test against the relegation contenders.
“I’ve been in worse positions! It’s easy to talk about them but we need to win them and it’s difficult. Cardiff have gained a lot of confidence from their last game v Brighton. People think about Barcelona but before then it’s Cardiff and Huddersfield – games with the same importance. There’s a massive job to do this weekend.”
Klopp: “We don’t talk about Porto or Barcelona, we only talk about the next opponent, the next opportunity and that’s Cardiff.”

Jurgen Klopp insisted that the squad is not tired despite entering the conclusion of the season, “We are not tired. It’s a decisive period of the season. It’s good to be involved in these two competitions – it’s a sign of success. You can imagine training is low intensity, we don’t need to do a lot as most important sessions are the ones we play.”
