Chelsea January Transfer Window 2020: Frank Lampard identifies 5 targets. The Blues manager is looking for attacking reinforcements.
Frank Lampard took the reins of Chelsea after the club were slapped with a 2-window transfer ban. The club legend was given the task of managing the club without relying on the surge provided by the arrival of new players and to his credit, Lampard has done very well with the players in his disposal.

However, with the reduction of the ban to one window, Chelsea have already served their punishment, which means that they can now make purchases come January and Frank Lampard has already named the possible targets he would like to bring to Stamford Bridge.

Following Chelsea’s win over Lille on Tuesday, Frank Lampard said:
“I will look at all areas of the team but I think it was quite clear in the summer that you lose Eden Hazard, who was a huge part of scoring or creating our goals last season and the season before that.”
“I think we’ve found ways as a team where we can still be competitive. We’ve shown that in the league and now the Champions League. But if we’re looking at if we can get even better. Can we get better in forward areas to help the idea of being more clinical, then I think we’ll always look at that.
Per the Guardian, Lampard has Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho, Red Bull Leipzig’s Timo Werner, Crystal Palace’s Wilfried Zaha, Lyon’s Moussa Dembélé and CSKA Moscow’s Fyodor Chalov on his shortlist. However, Lampard is aware that it will be very difficult to prise out players from their clubs in the middle of the season.
“I’m calm about this window,” he said. “We don’t see so much great business in January. If it’s there to be done it’s right for the club and that’s a conversation for me and upstairs. I don’t think we’ll go crazy just because the ban has been lifted.”
