Chelsea News: Christian Pulisic already considering his Chelsea Future after Lampard snub. Despite being a 58-million-pound signing, first team opportunities have been limited for the American.
Despite being on a transfer ban, Chelsea managed to sneak in Christian Pulisic from Dortmund by virtue of signing him in January itself. Aware of the transfer ban that was hanging on their head, Pulisic was purchased to replace the outgoing Eden Hazard.

Despite being heralded as Hazard’s successor, Pulisic has been sparingly used by new manager Frank Lampard. He has instead handed opportunities to the likes of Mason Mount and Callum Hudson-Odoi, Willian and Pedro.
Lampard has continued to place his faith on the youngsters in the side. However, Pulisic has not seen himself getting the same favours from his manager. According to Dailymail, this has led to the young American considering his future at Stamford Bridge.
Pulisic impressed for the Blues in their UEFA Super Cup match vs Liverpool. He would then go on to start for them in the next three Premier League matches. Since then however, he has been an unused substitute in Chelsea’s last 3 Premier League matches and missed the Champions League match vs Lille entirely.
Pulisic wants to stay at the Bridge and fight for his place in the team. He is, however, not averse to the idea of leaving if he feels that he is not being given a fair chance to prove himself.
£58m price tag doesn’t automatically justify a starting place
‘I have good players, and everyone has a story,’ Said Lampard defending his decision of choosing others over Pulisic.
‘Pulisic has a price tag, Ross Barkley is an international player, Mason Mount is an international player, Callum Hudson-Odoi just signed a new contract, Bayern Munich wanted to buy him last summer.
‘He’s an international player. Ruben Loftus-cheek will come back and be an international player. I can’t pick them all and be in the game unfortunately.
‘All I have to demand of them is that they show me in training and show me that they are worthy of the place.’
‘I spoke to him (Christian Pulisic) two days before the Grimsby game and was very clear about the standards and we have to give him the fact that he’s moved country and moved leagues,’ said Lampard.
‘He’s as young as all the young players we keep talking about. He’s just turned 21. So, I think everyone, if anyone is getting too excited about this they should calm down because he’s started five games for us.
‘What he needs to do is work, work daily, work to show within the group that he deserves to play. As they all do, as all the players do. That’s what the focus on everyone is.’
