The rivalry between Chelsea and Manchester United seem to have gone up a notch this season. Conte’s touchline shenanigans last season seem have infuriated Jose, who has made it his mission to knock his former club off their perch.

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has said that he wishes to make at least four more signings before the transfer window shuts.

Conte has publicly expressed his disappointment over the lack of transfer activity happening with Chelsea this season. The Chelsea boss has reportedly ordered the board to get the players in, otherwise they could face a very tough season ahead of them.

Conte has already said that the coming season will be the most difficult season of his managerial career so far. The troubles between the board and the boss started very early on in the summer, with Conte even apparently considering his future at one point.

But now that he has committed himself to the club for another two years, Conte is looking to build a side that could challenge on all fronts this season.

It is reported that Jose and United may make a late bid for Real Madrid’s Gareth Bale. The imminent arrival of Kylian Mbappe could start a domino effect, something not too dissimilar to what happened when Bale switched to Madrid himself.

Jose, who is a huge fan of the Welshman, will want to make a bid of around 90 million euros for the attacker. But now we learn that Chelsea will want to match United’s offer, as they look to create a side that could challenge in Europe.

If Bale does indeed get available, then United and Chelsea would engage in a transfer battle that could decide the fate of the Premier league next season.
