Chelsea Transfer News: N’Golo Kante wanted by former Chelsea manager after being impressed by his relentless motion and quality in the midfield.

N’Golo Kante has had quite the journey. Plucked from the 2nd division in France, Leicester became champions with him being the link between their midfield and defence. A role he would play for Chelsea afterwards and France as he picked up titles with all three.

He won the Premier League with Leicester City before winning it again the following year; this time at Chelsea before starring in France’s World Cup victory. He has since become an indispensable member for both his club and country. However, it appears that a former Chelsea manager has his eyes on Kante and is hoping to convince his former club to part with the French World Cup winner.

Dailymail have reported that Juventus manager Maurizio Sarri plans on bringing N’Golo Kante to Turin to help him form his perfect midfield. The former Chelsea boss does not like to indulge in the matters of transfer negotiations. However, he has let his desire known to the club’s vice Chairman Pavel Nedved.

Best Midfield in Europe

Sarri believes that a midfield of Aaron Ramsey, Miralem Pjanic and Kante would not only be the best midfield in the Serie A but in the whole of Europe. He would also be supported by a number of high-profile options from the bench.

Sarri has been left with a lasting impression of the Frenchman from his time at Chelsea. He believes that his relentless motion and quality in the midfield is just what the club need. Juventus believe that the transfer would cost them £70million, a figure they believe is accessible to them.

With Kante’s former defensive midfield positions taken by Jorginho and Kovacic, the Frenchman now operates in a more advanced position. Lampard’s desire to play youth has signalled a generational change in Chelsea.

Lampard still rates Kante highly though. However at 28, he may very soon find himself lost in the generational change taking place at the Stamford Bridge. The opportunity to play with Cristiano Ronaldo and compatriots Blaise Matuidi and Adrien Rabiot may also be too tempting an offer to turn down for Kante.
