Chelsea Vs Burnely Lineups : Chelsea’s predicted Lineup vs Burnley

Chelsea Vs Burnley Lineups: The SportsRush brings you the predicted lineup between Chelsea and Burnley.

After securing qualification to the semifinals of the Europa League, Chelsea will turn their focus to Premier League. The Blues will welcome Burnley to Stamford Bridge on Monday night as they continue to push for a place in the top four.

Maurizio Sarri’s side, who were leading 4-1 entering the second half against Slavia Praha conceded two goals within quick succession to put themselves on the pressure. The same occurred against Liverpool at Anfield a week ago, but they were not able to bounce back again and get the decisive result. The Italian International spoke about the conundrum and has promised to improve on that aspect.

At the other side, Burnley, who were struggling to secure results have won three games on a trot and heading into this fixture with much-needed confidence. It has not been a great season for the Clarets, but they could put the disappointments away by finishing as high as possible in the last few games.

We shall look at the team news and predicted lineup.

Team News

There has been no word about Antonio Rudiger’s injury which he suffered at Anfield, but their left-back Marcos Alonso could not feature on the bench after injuring his thigh. Emerson, who has played in recent weeks will be asked to continue his job in the defensive side of the left flank.

When he was asked about the second half problem, Sarri said “It’s a problem we have had for the last two months where we start the second half badly. We need a solution to solve this because in the last 10 matches it has been the same. Maybe at the end of the first half we thought we had qualified already but against this opponent that wasn’t true because they are the most physical team I have seen in my career.

“They have physical numbers I’ve never seen before so it was clear the second half would be difficult for us but of course we did something wrong in the first 15 minutes.”

Predicted Lineup

Chelsea: Kepa Arrizalabalga, Cesar Azpilicueta, David Luiz, Andreas Christensen, Emerson, Jorginho, N’Golo Kante, Ruben Loftus Cheek, Eden Hazard, Callum Hudson Odoi, Gonzalo Higuain.
