The Chennai Super Kings have firmly consolidated the No. 1 position on the points table and become the team with the maximum number of wins after their clinical performance against erstwhile table-toppers, KKR.
CSK, who have been dominant at home, will now be on the road for 4 matches. It is important that they maintain their consistency even when they play on tracks not suitable to their players.
The Sawai Man Singh Stadium, however, has a reputation of being slow and that would definitely assist the CSK spin army. They would be looking forward to getting the better of a low-on-confidence Rajasthan Royals and extend their lead on the top of the table.

Top-order
The opening combination of Shane Watson and Faf du Plessis has performed decently and look set to continue their batting at the top. Faf has been in brilliant touch and has top-scored for his team in both the matches that he has played. Watson, however, has blown hot and cold but looked to be coming back into form against the Knight Riders.
Suresh Raina has gotten off to many good starts so far. However, he has not been able to convert any of his starts into a big innings. He would be looking to do just that against the Rajasthan Royals and play a match-winning knock.
Middle-order
The middle order has been stable and has contributed whenever called upon to do so. Ambati Rayudu has had a forgettable season so far but would like to change that with one good innings. MS Dhoni is expected to back him irrespective of form.
MS Dhoni has had a good season thus far and would look to make the most of his impeccable form down the order. Kedar Jadhav has played a couple of good innings and a few important cameos. He will maintain his spot in the team. In the absence of bravo, Ravindra Jadeja will have to use his willow to hit a few big ones at the end.
Bowlers
Bowling has been CSK’s biggest strength in this IPL. They have managed to restrict oppositions to paltry scores on many occasions. Their spin army consisting of Harbhajan Singh, Imran Tahir and Ravindra Jadeja are expected to spin a web around the Rajasthan batsmen on a slow track. They will play the most crucial role.
Deepak Chahar has been impressive and his Man of the Match performance against KKR would give him immense confidence. His slower ones would be very effective at Jaipur. Scott Kuggeleijn has bowled decently and Dhoni would want him to deliver in the death overs in the absence of Bravo.
