Chris Morris exhibits elite footwork to seal brilliant run out in BBL match. The dismissal took place in the first over of the match itself.

In the game of cricket, it is often the batsmen who is praised for his footwork. However, South African Chris Morris stole the show during the Big Bash League match between the Sydney Sixers and Sydney Thunders with his elite footwork while bowling.

The all rounder bowled one wide but the batsmen failed to middle the ball. The pair tried to sneak a single but Morris brilliantly guided the ball on to the stumps catching the batsmen short of the crease. The video was posted on the BBL’s official twitter handle, captioned:

“Not ideal running from Dan Hughes and Josh Philippe… #BBL09,”

The Sydney derby was a rain curtailed affair as showers stopped the match twice and the officials had to reduce the game to 16 overs a side. Sixers were bowled out for 76 with one ball to spare. Chris Morris was the architect of destruction picking up 2 wickets for 12 runs in his 4 overs.

In response, Thunder scored 28 runs for 2 wickets in 5.3 overs before the match was awarded to them by 4 runs via DLS method. Chris Morris was awarded the man of the match for his economical bowling.

The South African has been roped in by Royal Challengers Bangalore next season for a whopping Rs 10 crore at the auction in December 2019.The allrounder will play under India Skipper Virat Kohli and fans of the franchise will hope that he can replicate his performance in the Indian Premier League.
