Mumbai Indians have been quite witty in their auction strategy as they got Jofra Archer last year despite knowing that he won’t play last season. The duo of Jasprit Bumrah and Jofra Archer can dismantle any batting lineup in the tournament. With the likes of Dewald Brevis and Tristan Stubbs, they have two of the best young players.
The core of the team is already retained where the team has retained all of their main players in Rohit Sharma, Ishan Kishan, Suryakumar Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah, etc. It will be interesting to see how they will fare after the auction.
Arjun Tendulkar IPL auction 2023
All-rounder Arjun Tendulkar is not a part of the IPL 2023 auction as he has been retained by Mumbai Indians. Mumbai Indians bought Arjun last season for a price of INR 30 Lacs in the mega auction. He did not play a single game for the side in the tournament, but still, he has been retained by the side.
Arjun has been with the Mumbai Indians since 2020 but is yet to make his IPL debut for the side. He is a left-arm pacer and has the ability to hit some runs with the bat as well. Arjun recently switches sides in domestic cricket from Mumbai to Goa, and he scored a century on his FC debut as well.
Arjun also played the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy for Goa, where he scalped 10 wickets in 7 matches at an excellent economy of 5.69. After playing in domestic cricket regularly this season, Mumbai may give chances to him this time around as a left-arm pacer is always an asset.
