The highly-anticipated Ashes 2023 is upon the ardent cricket fans, and this time around it unarguably deserves all the hype. Recently crowned World Test Champions, Australia, will be up against an English side which has hardly tasted defeat since their new captain-coach duo have taken charge.

While there are certainly no points for guessing the intensity with which both teams will have a go at each other, what will be interesting is to note whether or not the Aussies force this Ben Stokes-led side to second guess their ever-famous and successful ‘Bazball‘ approach to the format.

The first of the five-match Test series begins from Friday onwards at Edgbaston. With all talks around Stokes’ success rate as captain, it wouldn’t take long for the world to move past all of it if they fail to go past the Australian side.

The Ashes urn has been away from England’s grasp since the year 2015, and one might perhaps feel that there would be no better time and opportunity to have it back this time around.
