The first Test of the ongoing India’s tour of Australia will begin from tomorrow at the Adelaide Oval. In what will be Australia’s eighth day-night Test match with the pink ball, it will only be India’s second one – first away from home.
Although the intense rivalry between Australia and India have been overpowered by a lot of bromance of late, one expects the lovey-dovey side of things to take a backseat when both teams will take the field in Adelaide tomorrow.
The four Test matches will be contested for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy which India had successfully retained on the back of a maiden series victory during their previous tour of Australia.

It will be for the first time in the last decade that one country will be hosting its second consecutive series for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. The last time it happened was in 2010 when India had both hosted and won consecutively twice at home – with 2008 being the first one. Including those two series, India have won five out of the last seven Test series against Australia.
