The second Test of the high-profile India’s tour of Australia will commence from tomorrow at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. In what has already been a truncated year for international cricket, the one among the three Boxing Day Tests will put an end to 2020 as far as international cricket is concerned.
India, who registered their lowest-ever Test score in a humiliating loss at the Adelaide Oval, are doubtlessly under the scanner especially now after making as many as four changes to their Playing XI which includes debuts for batsman Shubman Gill and pacer Mohammad Siraj.
Australia, on the other hand, are comparatively better placed but won’t be taking the visitors lightly as told by captain Tim Paine. While the hosts haven’t announced their Playing XI as of now, one expects them to field the winning combination in Melbourne tomorrow.
In the 13 Tests that Australia and India have played at the MCG, Australia have won eight as compared to India’s three victories. India, who had won and drawn their last two matches respectively at the same venue, would be keen to maintain a similar record in their first-ever overseas Test without regular captain Virat Kohli since the disastrous tour of England in 2011.

As far as the fans in Australia are concerned, they will be able to watch the Melbourne Test on their televisions by tuning in to Fox Sports and Channel 7.
Indian team for second Test is clearly an ‘under pressure’ selection. A bit like England, trying to cover all bases. Selection done, it’s execution time now…Good luck India! #BoxingDayTest on @SonySportsIndia
