Barsapara Stadium boundary length: Guwahati Cricket Ground size and boundary dimension

The 1st ODI of the 3-match ODI series between India and Sri Lanka will be played at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati. After a brilliant T20I series, the focus now shifts to the ODI format. Considering the ODI World Cup this year, both teams will use their best possible combinations.

Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, KL Rahul and Jasprit Bumrah are back for the ODIs, and it will certainly add depth to the Indian side. Jasprit Bumrah is back after an injury, and he would want to stay fit. A lot of eyeballs will be on the duo of Rohit and Virat as they are the main pillars of the side.

Sri Lanka gave tough competition to the Indian team in the T20Is, and they would want to continue doing the same here. The spinners of the side struggled in T20Is, and they would want to improve. Dasun Shanaka will again be a key player for Sri Lanka in the ODIs.

Barsapara Stadium boundary length

The Barsapara Stadium in Assam lost hosted an international game in October last year when batters of both sides smashed the bowlers. A total of 448 runs were in that T20I match between India and South Africa. Suryakumar Yadav displayed his magic in that game, and he is in brilliant form at the moment as well.

It is clear that the pitch here in Guwahati has assisted the batters, but apart from the pitch, the boundary dimensions also play a very important part. The straighter boundaries at this ground are around 65 metres, whereas the square boundaries are around 68 metres, which is quite less as compared to other venues.

It is certain that the boundary dimensions of the ground will be liked by the batters as they can clear the ropes easily to score runs here. A high-scoring encounter may be on the cards in this match as well after an excellent T20 series.
