Ben Dunk bowling: Watch Patriots' player bowls with hat and shades vs Zouks in CPL 2020

Ben Dunk bowling: The Patriots’ batsman was seen in a rare role of bowling in an even rarer sight of doing it while wearing his hat and shades.

During the 15th match of the ongoing eighth season of the Caribbean Premier League between St Lucia Zouks and St Kitts and Nevis Patriots in Port of Spain, St Kitts and Nevis Patriots batsman Ben Dunk was introduced into the bowling attack in a rare move by their captain Rayad Emrit.

Chasing a mediocre 111-run target, St Lucia Zouks needed just 32 runs in 10 overs when Dunk was called upon to bowl. It was on the last delivery of his second over that Dunk dismissed Zouks’ top-scorer Najibullah Zadran (33) to pick his third T20 wicket in his 139th match.

What caught the attention of plentiful fans around the globe was the sight of Dunk bowling whilst wearing his hat and shades to add a whole new dimension of wearing accessories while bowling in a competitive match.

In the 2.4 overs that Dunk bowled, he leaked 29 runs as St Lucia all-rounder Roston Chase (27*) scored  a boundary off him to seal the chase in the 15th over. With bowling figures of 4-0-23-3, Patriots spinner Imran Khan was the pick of their bowlers.

Earlier, Dunk was the highest-scorer for his team with his 33 (37) including a couple of sixes after Zouks captain Daren Sammy won the toss and invited St Kitts and Nevis to bat first. Veteran all-rounder Mohammad Nabi’s maiden T20 five-wicket haul (4-0-15-5) had played a colossal role in restricting Patriots to 110/9 in 20 overs.
