The 10th match of the inaugural season of SA20 2023 will be played between Paarl Royals and Durban’s Super Giants at the Boland Park today. One of the six venues for this tournament, Paarl will be hosting a match for the second time. The contest will be the first one on a double-header day and will be followed by Johannesburg Super Kings hosting Pretoria Capitals at The Wanderers.

While both the teams will be playing their fourth match on Tuesday, Royals have won one and lost two as compared to Super Giants winning two and losing one match thus far. As a result, Paarl and Durban are at the fourth and third position on the points table respectively.

It is worth mentioning that no team has ever scored an innings totals in excess of 200 in a successful T20 run-chase at the Boland Park.

Durban Heat hold the record for the highest successful T20 run-chase at this venue. It was more than three years ago when Heat had chased down a 196-run target in the penultimate over against Paarl Rocks primarily due to batter Alex Hales scoring a match-winning 97* (55) at a strike rate of 176.36.
