The inaugural edition of the International League T20 is set to start tonight with the match between Dubai Capitals and Abu Dhabi Knight Riders. As the name suggests, Dubai Capitals is owned by the owners of Delhi Capitals, whereas Abu Dhabi Knight Riders is owned by the owners of Kolkata Knight Riders.

There are a total of 6 teams playing in the tournament, out of which three are owned by IPL owners. Apart from Dubai and Abu Dhabi, MI Emirates is owned by Mumbai Indians. A total of 30 games will be played in the league stage of the tournament, and the top 4 teams will qualify for the playoffs.

The tournament will be played across three venues i.e. Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai, Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi and Sharjah Cricket Stadium in Sharjah. All the venues in UAE offer very different conditions, so it will be interesting to see how the matches will fare out.

Rovman Powell (Dubai Capitals), Sunil Narine (Abu Dhabi Knight Riders), Kieron Pollard (MI Emirates), Moeen Ali (Sharjah Warriors), James Vince (Gulf Giants) and Colin Munro (Deser Vipers) are the captains of the respective six sides.
