Current weather in Dhaka stadium: What is the weather forecast for 3rd Bangladesh vs Australia Mirpur T20I?

Current weather in Dhaka: The SportsRush presents for you the detailed weather prediction for the third BAN vs AUS T20I.

The toss for the third T20I of the ongoing Australia’s tour of Bangladesh at the Shere Bangla National Stadium has been delayed due to rain. In what is an unwanted development for fans, it seems as if weather gods from Nottingham have had an effect in the sub-continent as well.

With Bangladesh winning the first two matches under favourable conditions, all they need is another victory to register their first-ever series victory over Australia.

Australia, on the other hand, need desperate answers to their woes against spin bowling in the sub-continent. Their batsmen failing to hit boundaries in both the T20Is has been their primary concern on this tour so far.

With an ICC T20 World Cup to be played in similar conditions in a couple of months, such lacklustre performances will do no good to Australia’s confidence in the build-up to the tournament.

Current weather in Dhaka stadium

Readers must note that current weather in Mirpur isn’t conducive for the sport. Originally scheduled to begin at 17:30 hours (local time), the start time is all in likeliness of getting delayed.

Furthermore, it wouldn’t be a surprise if overs are lost and both the teams take part in a rain-curtailed match. According to AccuWeather, rain probability is expected to be in vicinity of 50% till 20:00 hours in addition to the prevailing heavy cloud cover over the stadium.

As far as the prediction after 20:00 hours is concerned, weather is most likely to worsen as proper showers are expected with a rain probability of in excess of 60%.

In the absence of an official update for now, it will be interesting to see how long the umpires wait for the weather to clear especially if the prediction holds true in Dhaka today.
