Hyderabad Pitch Report for SRH vs LSG IPL 2023 Match at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium

Sunrisers Hyderabad will take on Lucknow Super Giants in the 58th league match of Indian Premier League 2023 at Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium. The spinners have bowled well here and both teams have decent slower bowlers in their ranks.

If SRH loses this match, their destiny won’t be in their own hands in the race of playoffs. They won their last match from a losing situation and this will give them a lot of confidence. This team has some talented players but they have not been able to convert them in consistent performances.

Lucknow Super Giants lost their last match against Gujarat Titans and they will aim to make a comeback here. In the absence of KL Rahul, they have tweaked their combination a bit where wicket-keeper Quinton de Kock is getting opportunities. The bowlers of the sided will love the surface here.

The pitch in Hyderabad has really been a competitive one this season where there has been help for both batters and the bowlers. It is a good pitch to bat on with an even amount of bounce. The spinners will again play a crucial role as there has been a decent amount of turn available for them.

“A typical Hyderabad pitch, bereft of grass and it’s very hard. Spin could be critical tonight with the pitch expected to turn. As a bowler, you need to stay in that good length area and make the most of your variations and slow down the pace,” Daren Ganga said in his pitch assessment ahead of the SRH vs KKR match.

The average first innings score in five matches played here has been 171 runs. Out of five matches, four of them have been won by the teams batting first. This pitch gets a little slower in the second innings where batting gets tough. The spinners can use the longer boundaries in the middle overs.

The outfield of the ground is really fast and if the batters get set, they can post a good total on the board. Looking at the record, both captains may opt to bat upon winning the toss.
