"I Don't Get Any Space": INR 1040 Crore Worth MS Dhoni Prefers Sleeping On The Floor Due To This Hilarious Reason

It took three years for Mahendra Singh Dhoni to have his seven-acre farmhouse built at his hometown in Ranchi. The lavish property has all the riches, and a more than enough space for his bikes, cars, and even for the training purpose of his pet dogs. Despite it all, an INR 1,040 crore worth MS Dhoni chooses to sleep on the floor and not on his cushioned and comfy bed.

The fact was revealed by Cars24 co-founder and CEO Vikram Chopra during an interaction with popular YouTuber and motivational speaker Raj Shamani.

While discussing the story, Chopra would go on to exclaim how he was taught a never- forgetting lesson in humility by the veteran wicket-keeper batter, and the way he would take all the time in the world to explain the simplest of stories revolving around his life to his fans or the commoners.

Chopra was narrating an incident from one of the days when Dhoni had arrived to shoot for a Cars24 advertisement. Since Dhoni had arrived at the shooting venue all alone, Chopra wished to know where he was staying post the end of the shoot.

He was a bit surprised to learn that one of the most decorated players in the history of Indian cricket was staying at a friend’s house, and not in some lavish presidential suite of a five-star hotel.

In the process of singing praises of his modest character, he would also recount a part of his previous discussion with Dhoni where the latter would claim that he sleeps on the floor. Reason being, that not only is it good for his aching back, but ever since the birth of his daughter there hardly remains any space left on his bed!

“I asked him that I’ve heard somewhere you sleep on the floor. He said, ‘Ya! It’s good for my back. And anyway now with my daughter and wife, I don’t get any space on the bed!’,”

Humble MS Dhoni Spends 20 Minutes Interacting With Rickshaw Driver

Yet another story of his extreme modest trait was revealed by popular media entrepreneur Devaiah Bopanna. He had shared how in the midst of a brand shoot, Dhoni had decided to talk to an auto-rickshaw driver present on the set.

Learning he’s from Jharkhand as well, Dhoni began interacting with him like he’d met an old friend after a very long time. As per Bopanna, the 42-year-old began sharing childhood stories with the driver, and devoted the latter at least 20 minutes of his time that day.

As if he had not already made his day, Dhoni even had his number noted down by his manager and requested him to drive him around the place during his next visit.
