IND vs NZ WTC Final Prize Money: The SportsRush present for you a list containing amounts which WTC 2021 teams will earn.

The ongoing final match of the ICC World Test Championship between India and New Zealand will bring an end to a two-year long tournament comprising of nine teams.

In what is a first of its kind competition, it has doubtlessly given a lot of significance to Test cricket for each series has it in it to change the positions of teams on the points table.

While a few elements of the format of Test Championship need some tinkering to be done, the competition otherwise is here to stay and entertain cricket fans across the globe.

IND vs NZ WTC Final Prize Money

As is the case with any ICC (International Cricket Council) event, Test Championship also comprises of a heft prize money. It is worth mentioning that all participating teams will end up with some amount of money after the culmination of the tournament.

Winner – INR 12 crore.

Runners-up – INR 6 crore.

Third position – INR 3.38 crore.

Fourth position – INR 2.62 crore.

Fifth position – INR 1.5 crore.

Remaining four teams – INR 75 lakh each.

World Test Championship 2021 trophy

Talking about the trophy of this prestigious event, the previously used Test Mace will be provided to the winner of the tournament. It is worth mentioning that the Mace was earlier given to the No. 1 ranked team in Test cricket.

“The Test mace, previously given to teams topping the MRF Tyres ICC Men’s Test Team Rankings will now be given to the WTC winners. In case the final ends in a draw or a tie, the finalists will split the prize money for the first and second places and share possession of the mace during the time they remain champions,” ICC had said in a statement earlier this week.
