The first T20I of the ongoing England’s tour of India will be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad tomorrow. In fact, all matches of the five-match series will be held at the same venue.
The last time when India and England had played a T20I against each other was during India’s tour of England in 2018. The two teams’ last T20I clash in India dates back to 2017, a match in which India wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant had made his international debut.
What makes this series an intriguing one is the fact that both India and England have won seven matches each out of 14 outings against each other. With a T20 World Cup scheduled to be played in India later this year, it is needless to say that both the teams would be keen to zero in on their combinations.
